BEACON 141 has been saved!

Due to the grassroots efforts of Beacon Parents, Staff as well as support from In-Sight Dance and our supporters, the DYCD funding for Beacon 141 has not been cut.  We appreciate your support and efforts to help keep this important Queens community center open.  Beacon 141 is more than an afterschool program.  Based in the Steinway School (IS 141) it connects afterschool activities to student’s school life, it offers free classes and activities for adults.  We’re proud of our work with Beacon 141 and we will be posting more updates soon.  For now check out this video we made during the campaign to save Beacon 141

In 2010, In-Sight began collaborating with Beacon 141.  Beacon 141 is an afterschool program that is supported by NYC’s DYCD.

Due to ONLY ITS ZIPCODE, Beacon 141 is at risk of being cut.

Beacon 141 serves students from all areas of Queens including Elmhurst, Flushing and Jackson Heights.

The school where Beacon 141 is located is a Universal Free Lunch school.

Beacon 141 is a highly rated program.  Our free dance program saw 100% retention this fall!

Any New Yorker knows that our neighborhoods are #morethanazip!
