Site Specific

The ability of movement and bodies to change the aesthetic and structure of a space empowers the choreographer's voice.  By transforming communal and abandoned spaces, In-Sight connects audiences with dance.
This is...at the Store

In May 2012, In-Sight Dance Company adapted its full length ballet, This is...Next Stop..., as a site specific piece for the LIC Arts Open. Utilizing a vacant store front and its storage room, In-Sight Dance Company created a landscape of emotion in an unexpected place in Long Island City.
Performance at the
National Museum of Dance

In-Sight Dance Company was the only dance performance at the 2011 Saratoga Arts Celebration.  In-Sight Dance Company performed outside the National Museum of Dance throughout the two day festival.
Site Specific Performances

In-Sight Dance Company and its Artistic/Director, Leeanne M. G-Bowley, have created site specific work for performance in Socrates Sculpture Park, Astoria Park, and the Highline Ballroom. We continue to look for unique spaces and community areas for the creation of new site specific work.
